SDWR-CASHMERE
Sustainable Durable Water Repellent Cashmere
The SDWR-CASHMERE research project, resulting from the collaboration between Cariaggi and Tintoria Ferrini, aims to create an innovative and sustainable yarn for luxury clothing. The project seeks to develop a water-repellent treatment for animal and plant fibres, in partnership with Prolabin & Tefarm and the University of Perugia, in order to offer high-performance and eco-friendly products for the luxury market.

Improving the quality of dyes has always been one of the objectives of the company, not by chance "... beyond colour" is the claim that for years has accompanied the company logo.
To hit these targets the company has chosen the path of cooperation with qualified partners for the development of both new products and for new operating models.
Hence, the participation in FI.CO.PRO.ARG. (Chain for dye colours protected natural clay) an ambitious project funded by Bando FSR for Umbria 2007/13 Axis 1 Measure 1.2.4.
A collaboration that is giving remarkable results, reserving incredible surprises to the same players of the project thanks to the re-introduction of a modern secular processes that have marked the history of the dye in the west ... real Argonauts colour!
